Today, the 5th International Green Zero-Carbon Festival & ESG Leaders Summit 2026 officially opened in Shanghai. At the summit’s awards selection, North Star Recycling’s “Digital-Intelligent Low-Carbon Retired Lithium Battery Recycling Solution” won the 2026 Green Innovation Solution Award, and Dr. Zhang Tao, Chairman of the Board, was named the 2026 Sustainable Development Pioneer.
The summit was co-hosted by Shuyang Net and Shuyang Public Welfare together with multiple mainstream media outlets, bringing together industry leaders, experts, and scholars from all sectors to engage in in-depth exchange on dual-carbon goals, ESG development, and green technology innovation, and to build a platform for sustainable-development industry exchange and cooperation.

Power battery recycling is a crucial link in closing the loop of the new energy industry and in delivering on the dual-carbon strategy. These two honors are full recognition by an authoritative industry body of North Star Recycling’s long-standing commitment to technological innovation, its deep cultivation of the green circular-economy track, and its implementation of ESG sustainable-development principles.
At the summit, Dr. Han Ziyang, Marketing Director of North Star Recycling, delivered a keynote speech, introducing to attendees the company’s outstanding contributions in decarbonizing its recycling and regeneration processes and in building a digital system for whole-chain carbon-footprint accounting across recycling.


North Star Recycling will continue to uphold its resource-circulation mission, continuously iterate its digital-intelligent low-carbon recycling technologies, refine the layout of the lithium battery circular industry chain, and steadily advance the efficient, low-carbon, and standardized regeneration and utilization of retired power batteries.
