North Star Recycling at 2026 MIECF in Macao

Recently, the 2026 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (MIECF) was held in Macao. Under the theme “Low-Carbon, Zero-Waste City — A Global Endeavor Sets Sail,” this year’s event focused on key topics such as green development, the circular economy, and carbon neutrality, bringing together leading environmental enterprises and professionals from home and abroad to jointly explore new pathways for global ecological sustainability.

The Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (MIECF) is organized by the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, with the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment serving as specially invited supporting organizations, co-organized by the governments of Pan-Pearl River Delta provinces/regions, and officially undertaken by the Investment Promotion Agency and the Environmental Protection Bureau.

Since its inaugural edition in 2008, MIECF became a UFI-certified professional exhibition in 2011. Over the years, it has continuously advanced green development and injected vitality into environmental exchanges and cooperation across the “government, industry, academia, research, user, and finance” spheres of the international industry. Aligning with the “1+4” goal of appropriately diversifying the economy, and closely following the “Macao + Hengqin” strategic positioning, MIECF strengthens regional environmental cooperation while building a green platform to facilitate international environmental industry exchanges and cooperation, supporting Macao’s high-quality and sustainable economic and social development.

North Star Recycling was invited to participate in this international environmental event, presenting to guests, buyers, and industry partners from around the world its innovative achievements and practical cases across the full lifecycle circular utilization of retired power batteries, green and low-carbon technologies, battery recycling equipment, and intelligent recycling systems. On the first day of the exhibition, Wang Peng, Director-General of the Energy Conservation Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Yu Hongli, Chairman of the China Environmental Protection Machinery Industry Association, among other leaders, visited the booth for guidance. Dr. Han Ziyang, Marketing Director of North Star Recycling, reported to the leaders on the company’s efforts in response to the central government’s “Interim Measures for the Recycling and Comprehensive Utilization of Used New Energy Vehicle Power Batteries,” including its R&D and practical achievements in low-carbon digital-intelligent battery recycling solutions and in empowering compliant smart battery recycling outlets.

During the exhibition, North Star Recycling attracted numerous visitors who stopped by to exchange ideas. Many industry peers, partner institutions, and overseas buyers expressed strong interest in and recognition of the company’s closed-loop recycling model, low-carbon process routes, and resource recovery rates, reaching multiple positive intentions for technical exchange, cooperation partnerships, and market expansion on site.

Participating in MIECF in Macao is not only an important window for North Star Recycling’s international showcase, but also a vivid practice of the company actively responding to the national “dual-carbon” strategy, supporting the development of zero-waste cities, and advancing the high-quality development of the green and low-carbon industry.
