North Star Recycling Showcases Innovative Battery Recycling Solutions at ASEAN Battery Technology Conference 2025

Phuket, Thailand – North Star Recycling is pleased to announce its successful participation as an exhibitor at the 3rd ASEAN Battery Technology Conference (ABTC 2025), held from August 27 to 29 in Phuket, Thailand. Under the theme “For a Greener Tomorrow: Advancing Battery Safety and Innovation for ASEAN’s Next Generation,” the event brought together key stakeholders from across the global battery industry.

The conference was inaugurated with addresses by Mr. Samawit Supanpai, Deputy Governor of Phuket, and Mr. Pongpol Yodmuangcharoen, Secretary to the Minister of Industry of Thailand, alongside leaders from government, academia, and the private sector.

As an exhibition partner with Siemens, North Star Recycling presented its advanced lithium battery recycling solutions, highlighting the integration of Siemens technologies to enhance safety, sustainability, and low-carbon outcomes within the battery circular economy.

It was a particular honor to welcome Nobel Laureate Professor Stan Whittingham—a foundational innovator in lithium-ion battery technology—to our booth. We were grateful for the opportunity to demonstrate our sustainable recycling processes and discuss their role in supporting next-generation energy storage systems in the ASEAN region.

North Star Recycling extends its sincere gratitude to the conference organizers, our partners at Siemens, and all participants with whom we engaged throughout this inspiring event. As the ABTC prepares to transition to NanoMalaysia for the 2026 edition in Penang, we look forward to continuing to support the growth of a resilient and sustainable battery ecosystem.

Together, we are driving meaningful progress in battery recycling and circularity—one recovery at a time.
