On December 17, the 2024 Cross-Strait Carbon Neutrality Forum was held in Fuzhou High-tech Zone. The forum was jointly organized by the Tsinghua University Cross-Strait Development Research Institute, the Tsinghua University Institute for Carbon Neutrality, and the 21st Century Foundation. Nearly 300 renowned experts, scholars, and business representatives from across the Strait attended the event.
North Star Recycling was invited to participate and joined guests in discussions under the theme of “Advancing Sustainable Development through Technology.” Li Jiaqiang, Member of the Administrative Committee of the Tsinghua University Cross-Strait Development Research Institute and Vice President of the Tsinghua University Institute for Advanced Study, emphasized in his address the importance of using the forum as an opportunity to build consensus, exchange ideas, and learn from one another, thereby expanding the depth and breadth of cross-Strait cooperation in carbon neutrality and contributing to the sustainable development of the Chinese nation and global carbon neutrality efforts.
This year’s forum introduced for the first time the “Cross-Strait Carbon Neutrality Sustainable Development Outstanding Enterprise Award,” the “Cross-Strait Carbon Neutrality Sustainable Development Tech Innovation Enterprise Award,” and the “Cross-Strait Carbon Neutrality Best Practice Project Award.” North Star Recycling was honored with the “Cross-Strait Carbon Neutrality Sustainable Development Tech Innovation Enterprise Award.”
